Some wedding days are remembered for the way they looked. Anna Grace and Colt's wedding will be remembered for the way it felt. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect their relationship, the people they love, and the stories that brought them to this moment. From custom koozies featuring their dog, Georgia , to a first-dance song Colt recorded for Anna Grace,, their wedding was filled with personal touches that made their celebration feel unmistakably theirs. But behind every meaningful detail was one priority that mattered most to Anna Grace: She wanted to be fully present.
She had dreamed about her wedding day for years to come into the planning process with a clear vision. She knew the feeling she wanted to create and trusted the BSW team to take that vision, add thoughtful creative details, and bring everything together in a way that felt elevated, personal, and seamless. Because she trusted us with the details, Anna Grace was able to enjoy the planning process and experience her wedding day without the weight of everything happening behind the scenes. And that was always the goal!
Anna Grace and Colt met in college, and their story continued with a surprise proposal that was perfectly personal to them. For their three-year anniversary, Colt gifted Anna Grace a professional photo session -something she had wanted for a long time. She believed they were simply celebrating their anniversary with photos but Colt had another plan. Their dog, Georgia, joined them for the session and brought plenty of energy along with her. After spending the first part of the day taking photos, Colt used the perfect excuse to step away and "take Georgia for a walk." When Anna Grace later came around the corner to meet them, Colt was waiting at the end of a deck surrounded by flowers. What she thought was an anniversary photo session became the beginning of their next chapter. Because Georgia had been part of their story since early in their relationship - and played such a memorable role in the proposal - She had to be included in the wedding day too.
From College Sweethearts to a Surprise Proposal
A Wedding Filled with Details That Felt Like Them
Anna Grace and Colt did not want their wedding to feel like a collection of beautiful details without meaning. They wanted personalities and their story to be present throughout the day. Georgia made an appearance on custom wedding koozies, a fun and personal nod to the dog they brought home during their first year of dating. The couple also incorporated tambourines and a cornhole set to create celebration that felt relaxed, joyful, fun and true to the people they are outside of the wedding day. One of the most meaningful details came during their first dance. Colt prerecorded a song especially for Anna Grace, creating a moment that belonged completely to the two of them. It was thoughtful, unexpected , and deeply personal - the kind of detail that could never be recreated at someone else's wedding. The couple also included a swan vase from Anna Grace's great-grandmother's wedding. It served as a beautiful connection between generations and a reminder that a wedding day is not only about the beginning of a new marriage. It is also shaped by the love, traditions, and family stories that came before it.
Honoring the Love Story That Came Before Theirs
Anna Grace and Colt's wedding day happened to fall on her parents' wedding anniversary, We knew that was something worth celebrating. As we designed the wedding experience, we incorporated sweet details inspired by her parents' story and things they loved. The goal was not to take away from Anna Grace and Colt's celebration, but to create a meaningful connection between the marriage beginning that day and the marriage that had helped shape their family. During the reception, Anna Grace and Colt invited her parents to cut a slice of cake with their first dance song playing in the background in honor of their anniversary. It was a quiet, heartfelt moment that represented so much more than the tradition itself.
On the same day Anna Grace and Colt promised forever to one another, they were also able to celebrate the love, commitment and years her parents had shared. Those are the details we love creating at BSW - the ones that may not be obvious from across the room but carry a story that makes the entire celebration feel more personal.
A Vendor Team that Brought the Celebration to Life
A wedding day is never created by one person or designer. It takes a talented team of wedding professionals, each bringing their own expertise and creativity to the experience. Anna Grace shared that every profession involved in the wedding day was incredible, but she gave a special shoutout to DJ Chad for going above and beyond during the reception. At one point between dinner and dancing, Anna Grace noticed guests beginning to leave and worried the energy of the celebration might change. DJ Chad quickly turned it around. He brought guests back to the dance floor, kept the energy going, and helped create the celebration Anna Grace and Colt had hoped for. That kind of experience is what makes a strong vendor team so valuable. The best vendors do more than provide a service. They pay attention, adapt when needed, and care about the overall experience the couple and their guests are having.
A Celebration That was Unmistakably Anna Grace & Colt
When Anna Grace and Colt walked into their reception and saw the people they loved gathered together to celebrate them, it became one of the most meaningful moments of the day. Their wedding was filled with beautiful design, meaningful family traditions, thoughtful personal details, and plenty of fun. It celebrated their relationship, their personalities, their families, and the beginning of their marriage. It honored the love stories that came before them while creating space for the story they are now building together. And through it all, Anna Grace was able to do the one thing she wanted most: Soak it all in.
